Welcome... I'm Juliet Carr. I'm an experienced counsellor and therapist and for over 15 years I've been supporting people to work through the trauma and emotional turmoil of life's difficult events and transitions. I offer counselling and therapy in Oxford Circus, W1 and Queens Park, North West London.
I understand that it is never easy to open up about the things that hurt the most, so our work together unfolds at your pace as I hold confidential, non-judgemental space where you can talk about whatever is worrying you.
My own experience of having been a client is what inspired me to become a counsellor and therapist. And it's this experience that continues to enable me to walk alongside my clients with a depth of insight and empathy.
I provide a supportive space and work collaboratively, bringing my holistic awareness - clinical, creative and transpersonal - to help you develop deeper self awareness and understanding of your situation, so you can move through your difficulty.
I gained my therapeutic experience in a variety of settings, including Re-Visions's Low Cost Counselling Service and the school based children's counselling organisation, Place2Be. For a number of years I also held a clinical placement at One in Four, a charity which provides counselling and advocacy for people who have experienced childhood sexual abuse. Also, I spent 5 years in a West London women's organisation, as a trauma recovery therapist where I provided counselling and undertook clinical assessments. I've been a therapist in Queens Park and Kilburn since 2009, now also offering counselling and therapy in Oxford Circus W1.
Clinical Qualifications: British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Accredited Diploma in Integrative Psychosynthesis Counselling from Re-Vision Centre for Integrative Psychosynthesis - December 2008. BACP Registered Counsellor since November 2013.
I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their Code of Ethics. I receive regular clinical supervision of my work, and I am committed to ongoing personal and professional development.
